Recently, I came across an issue in the Journal of Psychedelic Studies called "Entheogens in Christian art: Wasson, Allegro, and the Psychedelic Gospels". It discussed the presence of mushrooms in Christian art. Many of the examples were staggeringly obvious with the presence of psilocybin mushrooms.
(This is not to say that Jesus himself was tripping - but isn't excluding the possibility either.)
If you would like to look at the paper itself, here it is. Here are the examples that stood out to me:
Temptation in the Garden of Eden, Chapel of Plaincourault, Indre, Central France, ca. 1291
Conversion of Placidas, Saint Eustace Window. Chartres Cathedral, France, early 12th century
God Creates Plants. Great Canterbury Psalter Folio 1, England, ca. 1200
Jesus Heals the Leper. Great Canterbury Psalter, Folio 3, England, ca. 1200
In my research into psychedelics, I thought this was interesting to consider.
